At Sharon’s Doxie Pals we specialize in home-bred miniature dachshunds, raised with love and socialized with our family and friends 24 hours a day. It is our belief that dachshunds are not truly happy unless they are treated like a member of the family. We breed because we love Dachshunds and it is our goal to better the breed and be a resource to the many Dachshund lovers, or first time owners, who are looking for a happy, healthy, new member of their family who will bring joy to them for many years to come.
We breed Miniature Smooth Dachshunds in reds, black and tans, but will have the occasional long coat litter. We will also breed a brindle pattern from time to time. All breedings are always bred to conform to the AKC-DCA Breed Standard. When a stud service is used, we use only healthy, quality, AKC dogs from breeders of impeccable standards and reputation and whom we have known to produce quality healthy puppies.
We like to go the extra mile when we connect you to your new dachshund family member . When you take home a dachshund pup from us, you can be certain that your little one has been screened for health concerns.
- We have your dachshund pup thoroughly examined by a veterinarian before he/she reaches you. The pup is examined for the following Health Clearances:
- Cardiovascular
- Skin and Coat
- Eyes
- Mouth, Teeth and Gums
- Musculoskeletal
- Respiratory
- Ears
- Urogenital
- Gastrointestinal
- We internally review the Breeder’s Vet report for any issues and discuss with you anything noted.
- We require that you have your dachshund pup examined by a licensed vet within three business days of receiving the puppy.
- All shots and dewormings will be up to date.

It is our intention to breed a quality, healthy, good tempered, breed standard Miniature Dachschund for you and your family. All of our parent dachshunds are vet checked each year prior to breeding to ensure a quality litter.
STUD SERVICES
Please call us or use the Contact Us page to inquire about stud services. Please read the requirements in our “Purchase Requirements” Page. We will happily provide stud services to approved AKC females who meet my standards.
WE DO NOT BREED FOR DOUBLE DAPPLE OR DILUTE OR ANY MIXED PATTERN.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SELL ANY PUPPY TO ANY PERSON. WE DO NOT KNOWINGLY SELL TO BROKERS OR PUPPY MILLS.
WE DO NOT SELL TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 26.
WE WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP MAKE PICK-UP OR DROP OFF ARRANGEMENTS AS CONVENIENT AS POSSIBLE FOR OUR PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES.
We encourage all Dachshund owners to become a member of the CT Yankee Dachshund Club, where you can network with other dachshund owners and like minds. Support and information systems are a good thing for all dog/puppy owners, and you can make new friends with other dachshund owners.
